As a geologist and practitioner in the international technological cooperation arena, I am honored to lead the vibrant and innovative Center for the Applied Future Engineering and Sciences(CAFES). We are dedicated to shaping this center into a sanctuary for future scientific research and engineering applications, constructing a shining example that can inspire innovation, nurture a new generation of leaders, and drive global societal progress forward.

In this era dominated by the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, we are witnessing unprecedented changes and opportunities. However, with these advancements come challenges and responsibilities. As pioneers in the field of technology, we bear the crucial responsibility of ensuring that the power of technology advances along a path of justice, sustainability, and inclusive growth.

We advocate for and promote a spirit of interdisciplinary cooperation. We firmly believe that true innovation originates from the melding and collision of different disciplines, cultures, and ideas. The Center for the Applied Future Engineering and Sciences will continue to act as a bridge for this cooperation, eliminating obstacles and fostering the free exchange of knowledge and creativity.

We are also committed to advancing innovation in science and engineering and its application in reality. We focus on transforming scientific research and engineering technologies into practical solutions to address the urgent problems facing humanity. Through supporting emerging enterprises and partnering with industry peers, we aim to accelerate the marketization and widespread application of these innovative solutions.

We will continually enhance the quality of education and training. Education is a core component of our mission. We provide necessary resources to all who desire to learn, regardless of their background.
