From ancient times to the future, story about '2 billion years of Earth's memory'

The “200 Million Years of Earth Memory - Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition” grandly opened in Beijing on July 12^th after extensive preparations. During its first week, the exhibition drew a large number of dinosaur enthusiasts and scientific experts. Official media channels such as CCTV News and BRTV Beijing, as well as several local and international publications,reported the event, sparking lively comments.

The Center for Applied Future Engineering and Sciences (CAFES) was founded in 2023, with the goal of advancing innovation and development in the fields of science and engineering, and promoting the enhancement of new productive forces. As a global research platform, CAFES fosters multidisciplinary collaboration, nurturing and supporting the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. It strives to drive technological innovation, social progress, and contribute to global sustainable development. Supporting the "200 Million Years of Earth Memory - Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition" is part of CAFES' objective to deepen public understanding of the mysteries and evolutionary history of paleontology through scientific insights and educational efforts.

Distinguished members of the exhibition’s curatorial team, including Wang Meng, a Senior Engineer from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and the Steering Committee of the UNESCO Youth Climate Action Network (YoU-CAN), Zhang Lizhao, a Senior Engineer from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology at the CAS, and Paul Rummy, a dedicated Associate Researcher at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology at the CAS,graced the opening with their presence. And they delivered captivating and insightful exhibition explanations to the audience.

The "Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition" Spans three levels and covers an area of over 3,000 square meters, showcasing a treasury of over 500 exquisite paleontological fossils. Among them are more than 300 rare prehistoric creatures, as well as dozens of newly discovered species that are being presented to the public for the very first time. The exhibits covers the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic eras, highlighting significant achievements in Chinese dinosaur and other paleontological studies. Divided into four sections: "Earth and Life," "Dinosaur Continent," "Rulers of the Sky," and "Eternal Life," it fully demonstrates the important status and evolutionary processes of Chinese dinosaurs and other ancient creatures throughout Earth's history, paying homage to the grandest and most spectacular chapters of Earth's history!
